The security has been improved is an attempt to focus on the subject of ‘surveillance’ that has infiltrated our society and our everyday life and ongoing issues surrounding it. The title is taken from a security message that we often see in our computer and smart phone. And it reflects two sides of ‘surveillance’: we strengthen surveillance systems for a ‘better security’ and a ‘safer society’ but the problems, such as the domains that cannot be completely controlled, unpredictable errors and controls and invasion of privacy, still remain.

The artists participating in this exhibition explore the new conditions and environments of surveillance that we encounter in the digital world beyond the classical arguments like George Orwell’s ‘Big Brother’ and ask questions on the imaginary belief operating in the tight surveillance network and the issues behind it.
