Museum of Art and the Cosmetics Museum, as well as paintings, videos, and
installations that contain the perspectives of contemporary artists on flowers.
Ranging from flower paintings to celadons, white porcelains and cosmetic tools,
flowers were widely used as a symbolic subject. On the other hand, for
contemporary artists, flowers are diversely interpreted as floating images or
ambivalent beings. The title of the exhibition is borrowed from a letter
written by Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) and collection of poems with the same
title. This title is in line with her unique gaze on flowers which are so close,
common and easy to pass by. We hope that this exhibition will be a time to
rethink the meaning of flowers that are always around us. Hosted by Coreana Museum of Art Collaborated with Coreana Cosmetics Museum Sponsored by Coreana Cosmetics Special thanks to Fascicles
